All about “ZENITY” in Linux

Hello everyone!! Welcome back to my blog. Today’s topic of discussion is about the command “Zenity”. So let’s go…
Firstly speaking about zenity command..
Zenity is a program that will display GTK+ dialogs and return users input on standard output. This command allows use to present information, ask for the information from user and many other options. This program follows the usual GNU command line syntax with long options starting with two dashes -> “- -<options>”
I have mentioned few of the interesting options that are supported by this command.
Here it goes…
Selecting a color from colour paddle
for authentication
for acknowledgement to further step
To take an entry in the from of text from users
to display information regarding any updates in system
To display any progress of a program
If we are performing any task and we get some pop-ups warning us about the action that is noticed. To display these kind of pop-ups also , zenity is used.
zenity also provides an option for selecting a file
to display calendar of any year
